By employing a wide range of methods and specialized techniques, it aims not only to restore function but also to improve form\u2014making the body closer to normal and more aesthetically pleasing. In doing so, it contributes to enhancing the patient&#8217;s quality of life.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"underline\">(2) Policies<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"square\">\n<li><span class=\"fwb\">Improving Quality of Life with Advanced Techniques and Supporting Return to Society<\/span><br \/>\nOur goal is to provide high-quality treatment for a wide range of plastic surgery conditions. Our joy as plastic surgeons lies not only in helping injuries and illnesses heal, but also in restoring both body and spirit\u2014by improving the appearance of scars left on the body so that patients can return to society with renewed confidence and well-being.<\/li>\n<li class=\"mt15\"><span class=\"fwb\">Breast Reconstruction Tailored to Each Breast Cancer Patient at Our Hospital<\/span><br \/>\nThere are many methods of breast reconstruction, and the range of options continues to expand each year. Taking advantage of being a general hospital, we offer a wide variety of surgical techniques\u2014including reconstruction using the patient&#8217;s own tissue, implants, and even fat grafting under self-funded care\u2014based on each patient\u2019s individual preferences and needs.<\/p>\n<p>Our hospital is a certified facility by the Oncoplastic Surgery Society for procedures including expander-based reconstruction (immediate\/delayed), and implant-based reconstruction (immediate single-stage, immediate two-stage, or delayed reconstruction).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"underline\">(3) Our Strengths<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"square\">\n<li><span class=\"fwb\">Diverse Collaboration with Other Departments<\/span><br \/>\nOur hospital is a designated regional cancer care coordination center. In this context, the Department of Plastic Surgery collaborates in surgeries across various surgical specialties by providing expertise in flaps, microsurgery, and wound care to reconstruct skin defects and tissue deformities. Our aim goes beyond cancer cure\u2014we strive to restore both function and aesthetics as close to normal and beautiful as possible, thereby easing the emotional burden patients may experience after surgery.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, for breast cancer cases, we work closely with the Breast Surgery team within our Breast Center to perform surgeries. For skin cancer cases, we have a proven track record of close collaboration with the Dermatology Department, allowing patients to receive highly specialized care\u2014from diagnosis to surgery and reconstruction.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mt20\">In addition, we treat the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scars, scar contractures, and hypertrophic scars on the face, hands, and feet<\/li>\n<li>Tumors of the skin and soft tissue (excluding hemangiomas and vascular malformations)<\/li>\n<li>Ptosis (drooping eyelids), trichiasis (inward-growing eyelashes), and entropion (inward-turning eyelids)<\/li>\n<li>Resection and reconstruction of skin and soft tissue tumors and cancers<\/li>\n<li>Inverted nipples<\/li>\n<li>Surgical treatment for axillary osmidrosis (underarm odor)<\/li>\n<li>Ingrown toenail surgery, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"underline\">For Patients Who Attend Our Department<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure that all patients receive timely and appropriate care with minimal waiting, our consultations are by appointment only.<\/li>\n<li>If you are currently receiving care at another hospital or clinic, please bring a referral letter (medical information summary) and your medication record book.
