When operating on patients with systemic diseases, we work closely with physicians from other departments to ensure safe treatment and thorough postoperative care.<br \/>\nIn addition, our department offers second opinions regarding diagnoses or treatments received at other medical institutions.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"underline\">(2) Policy<\/h2>\n<p>At our department, it is our policy to carefully explain the patient\u2019s condition and treatment plan, ensuring that they fully understand and agree before proceeding with any treatment. To support this, we have implemented a system for storing and managing diagnostic images, allowing us to show these images to patients as we discuss their condition, in order to provide clearer and more comprehensible explanations.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"underline\">(3) Our Strengths<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"leftalign\">Enhancing Facilities for High-Quality Cataract Surgery<\/h3>\n<p>The majority of eye surgeries performed in our department are cataract surgeries. To provide higher-quality cataract procedures, we are committed to upgrading our medical equipment, including the use of a new ultrasound cataract surgery device.<br \/>\nDepending on the patient&#8217;s condition, cataract surgery may be performed either as an inpatient procedure or on a same-day outpatient basis.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"leftalign\">Focus on Treatment of Retinal and Vitreous Diseases<\/h3>\n<p>Our department is also actively focused on the treatment of the following retinal and vitreous diseases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diabetic retinopathy<\/li>\n<li>Retinal detachment<\/li>\n<li>Retinal vein occlusion<\/li>\n<li>Vitreous hemorrhage<\/li>\n<li>Epiretinal membrane<\/li>\n<li>Age-related macular degeneration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depending on the condition, we may perform not only the primary treatment method but also vitreoretinal surgery. In cases where retinal or vitreous diseases are accompanied by cataracts, we may perform simultaneous surgery to address both conditions.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"underline\">Messages for Our Patients<\/h2>\n<p>Many eye diseases show little to no symptoms in their early stages, making it difficult for individuals to notice them on their own.
